Tomorrow, Tuesday August 14 starts a new edition of Tango World Cup and Festival. The event that every year gathers thousands of dancers from around the world in the specialties of street and ballroom tango will last until August 28. The biggest tango summit in the planet, in the city that became a synonym of tango: Buenos Aires. Hostel Colonial has all the information you need to know about it.
Among other great shows, you can enjoy: the musical
acoustic shows of the “Usina del Arte” in La Boca Neighborhood (501 Pedro de
Mendoza Avenue), the new tango scene in Colon Theater (628 Cerrito Street), the
Golden 20’s in the Regio Theater (6056 Córdoba Avenue), the Tango Circuit in
the Amphitheater of the Parque Centenario and the dance competition in the Luna
Park Stadium (420 Madero Avenue).
All the tickets for these activities are free. If you
will be visiting Buenos Aires City during these two weeks, you have to get you
tickets as soon as you can. Where?
The Regio Theater and the Parque Centenario
Amphitheater do not provide tickets, people are allowed to enter the room until
its full.
The Usina del Arte and the Luna Park Stadium offer two
tickets per person an hour before the shows start. For the finals of the dance
competition in the Luna Park: until August 20, 11AM.
The Colon Theater offers two tickets per person on
Saturday August 18, 11AM.
