This September, Jazzology, a traditional cycle of San Martin Cultural Center (1551 Sarmiento Street) returns with great proposals for jazz lovers. Hostel Colonial brings you the full schedule of this event which gives you the chance to discover the best of local jazz for free.
Tuesday 11: CREOLE JAZZ BAND
The band leaded by clarinetist César Borsano celebrates
its 55 anniversary with its traditional jazz standards repertoire from the 20’s
and 30’s. The orchestra has recently published its CD “Jazz del bueno para
bailar” (Good old jazz for dancing).
Tuesday 18: GUINGA AND ZARBA DUET
This duet presents a true musical bridge between
Brazil and Argentina. They present the differences and coincidences of our
regional music, the fusion of bossanova, samba, tango and jazz. These
avant-garde composers try to mix our rhythms in an attempt to create a Musical
MERCOSUR.
Tuesday 25: MACHLINE-HERRERA-CERAVOLO TRIO
This trio has a personal style reflected in the
evolution of the musicians through ten years together. You will hear jazz,
bossanova and cotemporary fusion standards, plus the creation of this great
trio.
The meetings take place in Enrique Muiño Space of the
San Martin Cultural Center. You can get your tickets and hour before the shows
(which start 8.30PM).
