Saturday December 15th we have a new edition of the Night of the Libraries. Every year, Corrientes Avenue libraries (some of the most famous of Buenos Aires City) celebrate the joy of reading with amazing discounts and live shows for book lovers. The event takes place just a few blocks away from our Hostel Colonial, in Corrientes Avenue (turn pedestrian) between Talcahuano Street and Callao Avenue.
Corrientes is not
only famous because of its libraries; it also houses some of the most famous
bars, restaurants and theaters of our city. All of these magic places will be
open that night and will offer free live shows for everybody. As this night has
become a success, this year the event expands to other neighborhoods as San
Telmo, Palermo, Belgrano and Recoleta. Different libraries from these
neighborhoods will offer special discounts.
The live show of
Mexican pop singer Julieta Venegas will open this Night of the Libraries
edition in Corrientes Avenue. Among other show you can see: oral narrations,
round tables with local writers, movies, music shows, theater performances and
all kind of cultural activities. If you happen to be in Buenos Aires City this
day, don’t miss this great chance of buying cheap books and enjoying great free
live shows.
