The Buenos Aires Street Dance Festival (Ciudanza 2013) starts tomorrow. This sixth edition of the encounter of dancers in urban landscapes will take place in three different Locations offering a large variety of styles and presentations. The objective of this festival is to combine dance and choreography with the architectural beauty and uniqueness of Buenos Aires City. From March 14 to 17, a great opportunity to discover the rhythm of our city.
A public intervention in urban
spaces, a different way of living and understanding dance, all of this and more
is Ciudanza. This year, you will be able to enjoy the spectacles in three
different settings: Parque Las Heras (Las Heras Ave. and Coronel Diaz St.),
Parque Patricios (Caseros Ave. and Monteagudo St.) and Plaza San Martín (Santa
Fe Ave. and Florida St.). This last location is only 6 blocks away from our
Hostel Colonial.
There will be 9 different plays
and three workshops with special guest choreographers. The axis of this edition,
and the criteria to select the plays, are: creativity, movement,
transformation. Don’t miss the chance to discover, participate and be surprised
by the new ideas of the Buenos Aires dance avant-garde.
