Last week a plan for building new
green spaces in Palermo neighborhood was presented. The objective is to
embellish the surroundings of Juan B. Justo Avenue, a key avenue of the largest
neighborhood of Buenos Aires City. 75% of the area alongside San Martin
railroad will be destined to a linear park. Hostel Colonial tells you all about
the new area of Palermo you will want to discover.
The area is delimited by Juan B.
Justo Avenue and the streets Godoy Cruz, Paraguay and Niceto Vega. This used to
be a marginal area of Palermo but 2 years ago, with the installation of the new
Scientific Technologic Center, the place came back to life. Many bars and
restaurants opened, new buildings were constructed, streets were opened and now,
the City Government is catching up with a full urban recovery.
As many areas of the large
Palermo neighborhood were renamed as they modernize, some are betting on which
name will acquire this new area. We already have Palermo Soho, Palermo
Hollywood, Palermo Viejo (Old Palermo) and many more sub-neighborhoods. Two of
the proposed titles for this new space are: Palermo Queens (in line with
pairing it with NYC areas) and Palermo Science (in line with the building of
the Science Ministry which started it all).
Buenos Aires keeps expanding its
touristic areas and you can discover them through our blog before visiting us.
We are waiting for you!
