The Buenos Aires City Parliament
has recently agreed to extend the newest subway line (H line) to Retiro Train
Station in order to connect it with the C Line. With this objective, new
stations have been projected in the Faculty of Law (Recoleta), Retiro Train
Station (where it will connect with the C Line) and Retiro Bus Station. Hostel
Colonial tells you all about the new options you will have to travel through
Buenos Aires.
When finished, the H Line will
connect 7 railroads and 6 of its main stations. The two stations of Recoleta
will be located in Pueyrredón Ave and Las Heras Ave, and Pueyrredón Ave and
Figueroa Alcorta Ave. This last station will be close to main Recoleta
sightsees as the Cemetery and the Cultural Center in Plaza Francia. The Retiro
neighborhood stations will be called “Padre Mujica” (honoring a priest of a
humble neighborhood) and “Bus Station”. The idea is to finish these new
stations in 2015.
There are other lines projected:
the F Line from Constitución Station to Plaza Italia (Palermo); the G Line from
Caballito neighborhood to Retiro Station and the I Line from Parque Chacabuco
neighborhood to Plaza Italia.
