During
November and December, a great exhibition of Works of the Catalan artist Joan
Miró will take place in Buenos Aires. Until December the 20th you
can see more than 50 original works in “El jardín de las maravillas” (The
garden of wonders). The exhibition which commemorates the 120 years of the
birth of Miró takes place in the Usina del Arte (501 Pedro de Mendoza Ave, La
Boca neighborhood). Hostel Colonial brings you all the data.
The
“Jardín de las maravillas” is curated by Massimo Scaringella and offers a
peculiar vision of the visual work of the artist, main referent of the XX
Century art. It is an exquisite selection of lithographies, xylographies,
etchings and book illustrations where you can enjoy the fast traces and cuts
that define his painting. The hidden realities Miró expressed through innocent
yet violent traces are contained in these great works.
The
exhibition is co-organized by the Spanish Embassy in Argentina and the Buenos
Aires City Government. The tickets cost 4 USD for adults and 2 USD for children
under 12. Don’t miss this great chance of enjoying one of the greatest 20th
Century artists.
