January 20, 2008. It´s the day that will be published later Backpacker 2.0 Magazine, the first issue, an Alex Troy idea, Type Trip Comm. Inc. CEO, former backpacker, Internet addicted, new technologies analyst and dedicated in four last years to the social networks development.
Hostel Colonial was selected in the first issue of the journal to become the top cover note. Also for the launch of the product I was interviewed by Alex Troy on the development work on the Web 2.0 for the hostel also for restaurants that belong to the group of which I´m a General Manager.
Alex Troy became interested to the work of this blog and the hostel as a company in connection with various social networks through IZEA, Blogger's Choice Awards organizer and from then on it was only able to contact us.
The telephone interview was very interesting and sharp, acid humor as I like and some reflections on the roads that will take shortly.
It might seem strange until (actually that was my first impression) a 2.0 material is printed on paper, but as Alex said to me: "I´m tired and I never tire of seeing backpackers in different cities in the world with the Lonely Planet stuck in their hands".
It´s the first advertisement, I think that there will be more when it receives the magazine. Bacpacker 2.0, travel, high technology, blogs, photos, vídeos and social networks, we will see what it´s.
