One of main argentinian "stars" is the wine. Everybody knows that they are as famous as the french or portuguese ones!
I´m far away from being a specialist in this area, I don´t know much about wines and wich one is better with certain sort of foods and things like that, but It´s my favorite to drink with friends, in winter, in summer, with my girlfriend, after a day of hard work...And in my last trip to Buenos Aires, my friends of the Hostel Colonial recommended me a trip to Mendoza, the land of the best wines of the country.
It was not necessary to tell me that twice, Minutes after, I was searching for fly tickets by Internet. Once you arrive in Mendoza, you can find a lot of touristic points to know and things to do.
Looking for wines and everything related to it, I visited some wineries and areas where they produce different sorts of grapes and drinks. Now I know the difference between a Malbec and a Cabernet Sauvignon, and could buy very special wines that had a very low production and you cannot find them in anywhere else.
It is also possible to do adventure and snow tourism and know the natural termic pools that are compared to the biggest european ones!
Sincerely, South America has been surprising me more and more. There´s always a new and fantastic place to know, and Argentina is a country of beautiful landscapes and amazing places to enjoy. Many thanks to the staff of the Hostel Colonial for the tips! I really hope to meet you again in summer, so I can write something about your beer! ;)
