If you visit Buenos Aires, you gotta go to a local folklore "peña". If you are interested in colective dancing, playing and singing, these parties are a must. It's like an mini carnival, where the improvisation is a law.
The native people that go to the “peñas” have the essence of the true argentinan folklore and culture. Drums, tango, rock and cumbia are the most popular rythim expressions. It´s common to see artists from different parts of the country, and certainly you will notice this diversity in the sound: A bandoneon that plays a zamba of Salta and the acordeon of a chamamé. The popular and exciting "chacarera" of Santiago del Estero is different from the same music played in the coast.
