HOSTEL COLONIAL BUENOS AIRES - CORRIENTES AVENUE, A CLASSIC IN THE CITY

Corrientes Avenue, one of the most representative streets of Buenos Aires. Avenue of bookstores, cafes, theaters and pizzerias. Born in Puerto Madero (2 blocks walking from Hostel Colonial) and ends at Chacarita.
Between 1910 and 1938 was transformed into Avenue. Crosses the Downtown, Once (Balvanera), Abasto, Almagro and Villa Crespo.
Strongly associated with the Tango, in some of its corners can find tango scenes composed of carved figures, such as that seen on the Luis M.Drago St..
The most traditional pizza places are here in Downtown a few blocks from Hostel Colonial: "Guerrin, Los Immortales, Banchero, Las Cuartetas and El Palacio de la Pizza."
Corrientes Ave., between Callao Avenue and Esmeralda Street has the highest concentration of bookstores and theaters from all over Buenos Aires, usually remain open until after midnight, especially on weekends, and have the largest bar and theaters. Nascida em Puerto Madero e termina no Chacarita. Entre 1910 e 1938 foi transformada em avenida.
Atravessa o centro da cidade, Once, do Abasto, Almagro e do Villa Crespo. Fortemente associada com o Tango, em algumas de suas esquinas pode encontrar cenas du Tango, compostas por figuras esculpidas, como o observado na rua Luis M. Drago. As pizzarias mais tradicionais estão aqui em poucos quarteirões do centro, perto do Hostel Colonial: Guerrin, Los Inmortales, Banchero, Las Cuartetas e do Palacio de la Pizza. Avenida Corrientes, entre Avenida Callao e rua Esmeralda tem a maior concentração de livrarias e teatros de toda Buenos Aires, geralmente permanecem abertas até depois da meia-noite, especialmente nos fins de semana, e têm o maior bar e teatros.
