HOSTEL COLONIAL BUENOS AIRES - SUNDAY NIGHT MILONGA AT DORREGO SQUARE

Many claim Tango culture as local in the Rio de la Plata, South America but who can say this over all Tango has self identity Tango and is with no doubt authentic and genuine Argentinean artistic expression visible nowadays.
A bit story: Born in the late 19th century right from the depths of the people’s soul. Lew ruffian, arrogance, attitude, showing fierceness, pretentious dance, with some rhythms from candomble, with milonga voices, which was originated in the cabarets, bawdy houses, and brothels, became worldwide known in the early 20th century and was played in different ways: some times with artistic quality.
The world connect the San Telmo (10 blocks south walking from Hostel Colonial) area with Tango and there is a random meeting on Sundays night that the Hostel Colonial Buenos Aires encourage you to go where young, adults, beginners or professional dancers o just passionate ones do it spontaneously
In Dorrego Square after 10:00 p.m. the milonga is not a glamorous show it’s in an open park under the lights of the French paroles it’s a good mix performing a spontaneous spirit that scenery contain the real spirit and treasure of Buenos Aires.
