LA TRAVIATA BALLET IN THE OBELISCO (By Hostel Buenos Aires)

Next Saturday November 27th, the company of the great Argentine dancer Iñaki Urlezaga will present the ballet La Traviata in the Obelisco. With free entrance, starting 7PM, the ballet version of the famous opera by Giuseppe Verdi can be enjoyed. After successful presentations in New York, Shanghai and, recently, the Coliseo Theater in our city, the principal dancer will exhibit his work to the great Porteño audience.

Music by the Philharmonic Orchestra which rehearses in the Colón Theater conducted by maestro Luis Gorelik. The Ballet Concierto Company of Iñaki Urlezaga –which resides in La Plata City and it’s conducted by Lilian Giovine- will perform La Traviata. This presentation is framed in a series of event organized in our greatest urban symbol: the Buenos Aires Obelisco.

Last Monday the ballet Carmina Burana (music by Carl Orff) was presented by the San Martin Theater ballet (choreography by Mauricio Wainrot). The same as this event, La Traviata will count with a large stage on 9 de Julio Avenue, looking south, and 8 thousand chairs for those who get there first. For the rest of the audience (estimated in 80 thousand people) there will be two giant screens.

Few blocks away from our Hostel Colonial, the Argentine culture summarized in an unforgettable show for dance and music lovers. La Traviata: a great presentation, free, in the best popular stage of Argentina. Don’t you miss it!
