JAZZ.10 FESTIVAL (By Hostel Buenos Aires)
From December 3rd to 8th, under the artistic direction of local jazz musician Adrián Iaies, a new edition of Buenos Aires International Jazz Festival (Jazz.10) will take place. An event which honors the diversity and excellence in the very essence of jazz music. A classic of the international jazz circuit that includes Buenos Aires as a traditional outstanding icon in Latin American tours.
The Festival will unleash the imagination of jazz creativity for six days in different places such as: the Recoleta Cultural Center, the Cinema Complex 25 de Mayo Theater, the General San Martín Theater, the Coliseo Theater, La Trastienda, Samsung Studio, Café Vinilo and Notorious.
The opening night will introduce a double program by American artists: The Mingus Dynasty, an orchestra created by Charles Mingus widow after his death to preserve his legacy and create new music. Plus the duet by the renowned pianist Frank Carlberg and the singer Christine Correa, New York vanguard eminences. The closing day will have the Italian pinist Enrico Pieranunzi introducing his CD Fellini Jazz, base on Nino Rotta tracks.
Each night will surprise with the exchange between guest musicians and the local ones. An spontaneous massive encounter between the musicians and their public in an original jam session. Also, Jazz.10 offers extension activities beyond concerts such as: photo exhibitions, jazz&cinema series and teaching experiences with the opportunity to join master classes, clinics and workshops with outstanding jazz musicians.
