UP ALL NIGHT IN BUENOS AIRES
Next Saturday March 26th, from 7PM and through the night, the “Noche en Vela” (Night Up) will take place. It’s a collection of artistic and cultural events to see, to enjoy and to join in a non-traditional schedule. A Paris classic (La Nuit Blanche) lands in Buenos Aires in the middle of an extended weekend, due to the Memory Day. Hostel Colonial tells you where and what can you see in this special night.
There have been defined three circuits (Center, South and North) which will house more than 100 artistic-cultural proposals in 50 meeting points. You will find music, theater, dance, video projections and huge multimedia installations. There’s something for everybody. In tune with the event, many bars, restaurants and pizza places of our city will extend their hours of opening and will also offer a special menu for the occasion.
Buenos Aires does not sleep and you shouldn’t either. Reasons? Here are some: the show of Elena Roger (the Argentina star of the musical comedy scene of the United Kingdom), the Moscow Symphonic Orchestra, a curious tango show in a vertical stage, light installations in the Planetarium, the Parque de la Ciudad (City Park) and the Law School of the University of Buenos Aires, among others.
There will also be theater in the Barolo Palace and the Botanical Garden, 3D mapping in the Recoleta Cemetery and Uruguayan murga (a type of carnival group) in the Avenida de Mayo. The offer’s completed by contemporary dance, experimental music, conferences in libraries, live DJs and VJs sets.
