ArteBA: OUR FINEST ART EXHIBITION
An historical edition of the classic art exhibition ArteBA is coming. This year 2011 is the 20th edition of the event which gathers the best of the new expressions of Argentine, Latin American and international art. From May 19th to 23rd, you can visit a place which combines all kind of artistic disciplines. The event also works as a launching platform for new art. Hostel Colonial tells you what you can find in the most important art exhibition of the year.
ArteBA will present more than 70 local and international art galleries with more than 1000 works of art. You can also find the traditional Young Space, which introduces to the public the emerging talents of the art world. Last, but not least, the event has renewed spaces for avant-garde art, and the long waited contests and works acquisition programs.
The largest bet of this year is the new U-TURN Project Rooms, in charge of the Iranian independent curator Abaseh Mirvali. A special room whichwill bring the best of experimental international art with unpublished works of 18 artists from Germany, Argentina, Brazil, and Colombia. An experience you should not miss which seems to be the star of this ArteBA 2011 edition.
The exhibition is scheduled from Mondays to Sundays, from 1PM to 9PM in the green and blue pavilions of La Rural (2704 Sarmiento Avenue). The price of the tickets is 38 Argentine pesos (less than 10 American dollars). From our Hostel Colonial, you can get there by subway, D line (Plaza Italia station).
