“48 barrios” (48 neighborhoods) is the name of this digital exhibition which tributes the 48 official delegations of Buenos Aires City. The idea began in 2009, in the Emerging City Festival, where illustrators and graphic designers were called to find the best images for their neighborhoods. The result is a modern pop version of the soul of each place: its symbols, its buildings and its name.
It’s a beautiful series of postcards which you can see
in the 48 Barrios
website (by clicking on
the images). In these 48 images you can see the past and present of our city
through its most famous and traditional neighborhoods. You’ll see images,
spirits and classic characters, reinventing spaces with the creativity and
talent of the selected artists. Every image has a link below with information
on the artist.
If you like what you see, you can download a pdf
version of the exhibition in the same website. A new and different approach to
the city we love, the city you should visit!
