ARGENTINA - WONDERFULL COUNTRY - HOSTEL COLONIAL

Toda la información de Buenos Aires la encontrás en nuestro sitio oficial, aquí va sólo un adelanto.

SALTA
The Province of Salta is situated in the Northwest of Argentina and it borders three countries: Chile , Bolivia and Paraguay , and six Argentinian provinces: Jujuy , Formosa , Chaco, Santiago del Estero , Tucumán and Catamarca. Salta stands out for its geographic and climatic heterogeneity, from the desert coldness of the Andes and the Puna to the subtropical heat of the jungle, with cool fertile valleys, mountains and rivers in between. Salta 's traditional hospitality and provincial cordiality blend with its great cultural richness. Its heritage is vast and varied: ancient Diaguita-Calchaqui and Inca vestiges, the more recent Spanish colonial legacy and its active involvement in the independence wars. These features are still alive in the architecture of its villages, towns and in the city of Salta itself. The first people to live in this area were aware of its outstanding natural beauty and called it “SAGTA”, which in the Aymara language means “very beautiful one”. Even today Salta is known as “the pretty one”.Now we invite you to discover it for yourself.
JUJUY
Jujuy offers tourists a wide range of activities all through the year.

It is worth visiting, enjoying, and submerging into the whimsical harmony of the Puna region. Its desolate spectacular landscapes resembling the moon’s surface, and its vast salt mines convey unique sensations.
Lands full of history and traditions, most of which trace back to pre-Columbian times. Visitors can enjoy vivid celebrations, delicious wines and meals, and purchase fine llama wool clothing.
Stunning sites are a constant attraction for travelers and native residents. The exuberant vegetation and the crystalline river with several backwaters attract hundreds of people coming to camp and take pleasure in the lakes and dams.
In the summer and in the beginning of the autumn, the highland jungle is covered by clouds, and fleeting streams are scattered everywhere. People can access to the heart of the jungle and “feel" it from deep inside the dark paths.
SANTIAGO DEL ESTERO
LAS TERMAS DE RÍO HONDO Las Termas de Río Hondo is the main Spa in Latin America. Standing on the Río Dulce, in the province of Santiago del Estero, they are located on a spring of mineral water within a radio of 15 km, composed by fourteen layers of spring water reaching 65 degress C and composed by numerous minerals of great healing potential.Las Termas de Río Hondo is strategically located on route 9, which runs through Tucumán, Catamarca, La Rioja, Salta and Jujuy. They are also within easy reach of Santiago Airport and San Miguel de Tucumán. It has hotel infrastructure expanding up to 170 establishments of differente categories that allow the guests to enjoy a spa bath in their own room, a feature unique in our country.
Among the options offered by the city and its surroundings, golf stands out in the sports domain; and as for the food specialties, the musts are young calf, empanadas, dorados, tamales, colaciones and alfajores made in eight local factories. Is is a historical city with long standing traditions. One of the attractions is Weaving, the oldest local handcraft whose technique is passed from one generation to the other. The well-known dam "Frontal", which is four kilometres away and has a lake of 33,000 acres, is the ideal place for all kinds of water sports and "Dorado" fishing. An imposing building of Neo Colonial style hosts the Río Hondo Casino, the biggest in the north of Argentina. The National Centre for Congresses and Conventions and the Cultural Centre San Martín are the arena to important concerts, theatre perfomances and national and international congresses.

Estimado Jorge:

Veo que publicitas unas fotos, que al parecer, tengo entendido que corresponde al "Parque Nacional Torres del Paine", correspondiente a la Provincia de Magallanes, en la Patagonia chilena....

Atte,

Jorge
