POLLERAPANTALON - STREET ARTISTS, WORK TO THE CAP, THEIR SHOW IS FOR REMOVING THE HAT - HOSTEL COLONIAL

I always say that nothing is going to surprise to me in Florida Street, your changes and fluctuations, the people, the tourists, the noise, the artists of which I wrote many posts.

ERROR, today the surprise was extremely pleasing.

Towards the south almost in the corner of Sarmiento I could find to POLLERAPANTALON, a band composed by two ladies, Andrea and Meli in saxo and feedback and three boys, Cristian in bass, Lemon in drum and the fabulous guitar player which it play long ago in the street and today I find out to me that its name is Juan.

"Okupas" of any European city, I imagined to Fermín Muguruza the singer of Negú Gorriak doing a road movie with them.

Funky, ska, rock, cartoons, Rita Turdero, a song, an icon, a little heat for the cold Buenos Aires.

They are very cool , definitively liked, your show is closely together of Hostel Colonial, always to 6 p.m., they accept smiles of payment, deserve much more.

Walk and you are going to see them.

Siempre digo que nada va a sorprenderme en la Calle Florida, sus cambios y fluctuaciones, su fauna, los turistas, la gente, el ruido, sus artistas de los que escribí muchas notas.

ERROR, hoy la sorpresa fue sumamente grata.

Hacia el sur casi en la esquina de Sarmiento me encuentro con POLLERAPANTALON, una banda compuesta por dos féminas, Andrea y Meli en saxo y arenga y tres chicos, Cristian en bajo, Limón en batería y un virtuoso de la guitarra que toca hace mucho tiempo en la calle (como solista) y hoy me entero que su nombre es Juan.

Estética okupa de cualquier ciudad europea, un look que creo forma parte de la ortodoxia callejera, me imaginé a Fermín Muguruza el cantante de Negú Gorriak filmándolos.

Funky, ska, rock, dibujos animados, Rita Turdero, un tema, un ícono, un poco de calor para la fría tarde de Buenos Aires.

Tienen onda, definitivamente me gustaron, tocan a pocas cuadras de Hostel Colonial, siempre a las 6 p.m., aceptan sonrrisas en parte de pago, merecen mucho más. Caminen y vayan a verlos.

AN ANTIDEPRESSANT TRIP - HOSTEL COLONIAL

Después de unos días de ausencia, dado que el lunes nació Catalina, otro de los más bellos viajes que decidimos emprender con mi mujer, regresé al Microcentro y como todos los días, algo insólito vuelve a sorprenderme y dar por hecho que los acontecimientos que por este barrio (San Nicolás, Nuevo Bajo, El Bajo) se suceden en forma constante, vibrante y sorprendente, en otros sitios de la ciudad de Buenos Aires, llevarían meses, quizás años.

Gente desayunando, mucha afortunadamente, todos felices, están de vacaciones y eligieron Hostel Colonial.

LLaman la atención 4 chicas rosarinas (oriundas de la ciudad de Rosario, cuna del Negro Olmedo, del recientemente fallecido Roberto Fontanarrosa y según dicen de las mujeres más bellas de la Argentina).

Las chicas están exultantes y el motivo de la euforia, más allá del viaje, son las 10 ó 12 cajas que exhiben arriba de la mesa de Rivotril, la nueva panacea para combatir la depresión, el stress urbano y los panic attack, según sus dichos, en desmedro de otros medicamentos como Prozac o Lexotanil, también según los dichos de estas expertas y ávidas consumidoras de 22,24 y 25 años .

Porqué hago referencia a este tema? Simplemente porque cada día veo más y más jóvenes, consumir desaforadamente psicofármacos, calculo sin ningún tipo de prescripción y realmente más allá del caracter de fenómeno socialmente aceptado e incorporado, creo que hay viajes que nos fascinan y apoyamos, de hecho somos parte de esta industria y hay otros que no nos agradan, es más nos degradan y desde nuestro lugar, como actores sociales que somos, estamos realmente comprometidos con generar conciencia sobre temas ríspidos que no tienen que ver quizás con el negocio, pero sí con el factor humano que lo compone y que en definitiva es la escencia de todo esto.

In these days I found some webs with maps of the city in 3-D of great quality and resolution, besides to maintain the esthetic one of "filetado porteño". His author is Bernardo Galmarini, and besides to visualize the images, also they can acquire them in shop on line. An excellent work for tourists and also for the Argentineans, to an accessible price.

Hace ya casi 4 años que Britney, nuestra amiga colombiana viene a Buenos Aires y a Hostel Colonial en busca de sus merecidas vacaciones, además de hacer shopping y comprar MP3, MP4 e Ipods a precios de risa, lamentablemente el Iphone, aún no se vende en Argentina.

Como la muchacha es diseñadora, nos publicó algunos videos en www.youtube.com (esperamos el código hace meses, ya que con los tags que hemos buscado no aparecen) y además nos pidió publicar en este post (again), algunos afiches, que ella misma nos hizo hace tiempo y que están por todo el hostel e incluso forman parte de la más rica y reciente historia de www.hostelcolonial.com.ar y quizás en breve pasen a formar parte de la web 2.0, (también forman parte del slide de este blog). Nuestra amiga, mientras tanto ya está abriendo su cuenta en http://twitter.com
Estos afiches aparte de ser fashion como dice Britney, también son emotivos, porque nos recuerdan a Jesica y Naty que abrieron el hostel con nosotros en 2004, a Carmencita, a Daniel The Kraut, que durante su pasantía en AGFA vivió casi un año entre nosotros.

También a Carla, a José, a Baby, a Carlitos Bush en sus more fckng vacations, a Cris que ya no está en este mundo, pero que estamos seguros debe estar escuchando en algún lugar su música electrónica, y a muchos otros como Lucio, Nilton, Efron, Josh, Ethan, Paco, Manu, Rochi, Peco, Gildette, Sabrina, Charo, Chacho, Tony, Randalf, Joselo, Oki, Los Pinches Cabrones de Tommy, Yeco, Lata, Ernest, Willy, la negra Paris (no Hilton) el loco Blackberry y toda la banda que siempre nos recuerda y quiere volver desde Uruguay, Brasil (hay comunidad en Orkut), Israel y Chile.
Ahí van los afiches tíos y tías, disfruten y hasta mañana, cuando me decida a seguir posteando.
