If there is something about Buenos Aires that attracts native and foreign people, in summer or winter, it´s our homemade ice cream. There are really few cities in South America that have such a aprecciated and recognized ice creams.
Many varieties and versions of the traditional milk caramel are a law in every ice cream shop. Freddo, classic and popular between tourists (highlighting the temptation milk caramel and swiss chocolate tastes) is not alone in the ranking of the best porteño ice cream shops. The Hostel Colonial has its favourite ones, of course, recommended to those that give themselves these small but great pleasures of the taste.
In the best malls and zones like Palermo and Belgrano you can find Persicco. Volta , Munchi´s (that has an incredible ice cream store inside the Temaikén Zoo) and the traditional Scannapieco, located in the Cordoba Avenue, established in 1938 and attended by the family of its founder Andrés Scannapieco and his wife, Josefina. There are more than 50 tastes to choose.
If you come to Buenos Aires and you don´t try the icecreams, it would be a sin.
Si hay algo de Buenos Aires que atrae a nativos y extranjeros sea en el verano o en el invierno, son las heladerías artesanales. Poquísimas ciudades de América Latina tienen helados tan reconocidos y apreciados.
Muchas variaciones y versiones del tradicional Dulce de Leche están presentes en todas las heladerías. Freddo, ya clásica y popular entre turistas (deliciosos los gustos Dulce de Leche Tentación y Chocolate Suizo) no está sola en el ranking de las mejores heladerías porteñas. Hostel Colonial tiene sus favoritas, por supuesto, recomendadas para los que se dan estos pequeños grandes placeres gourmet.
