NIGHT OF THE RECORD STORES (By Hostel Buenos Aires)

Next Thursday October 21st, the City of Buenos Aires presents the second edition of “The Night od the Record Stores”. The event will offer several shows of local artists and massive discounts in CD and DVD. The idea is to bring culture closer to the people, offering more than just the chance to buy music but also the opportunity to see great live shows in an unusual and more private stage.

Along with the mentioned large list of live artists you will be able to enjoy for free in different spots all across our city (see the full program here, in Spanish), some of them will be signing their records for their fans and there will be discounts in CD in a wide variety of music styles. The event will take place in 35 different official spots. Among them are some classic stores as: Zivals (in the corner of Corrientes Avenue and Callao Avenue, Downtown), Miles (4912 Honduras Street, Palermo) and Notorius (966 Callao Avenue, Barrio Norte).

If you’re looking for some good music in our city or you want to know more about the new Porteño music scene, this is your chance. Close to our Hostel Colonial (in Ultra, 678 San Martín Street and other Downtown record stores) you may attend an unique night. It is also a great time to buy those tango records you wanted to get or somebody asked you for back at home.

Among the main live shows, we recommend: Guillermo Fernández (tango), at Zivals, 395 Callao Avenue, 9.30PM; Manza (pop), at Ultra, 678 San Martín Street; Hilda Lizarazu (rock), at Miles, 4912 Honduras Street, 7PM; Diego Frenkel (latin rock), at RGS, 5233 Corrientes Avenue, 8.30PM; Estelares (rock), at Zivals, 1446 Serrano Street, 8.30PM and the Jam Session “Brazil & Jazz”, at Notorius, 966 Callao Avenue, 9PM.
