BREWERY’S PARK (By Hostel Buenos Aires)
A famous place which beer lovers shall visit if you’re visiting Buenos Aires is the Brewery’s Park. Located in the Quilmes Brewery and Malt factory, in the homonym city, the Park is the best spot for those who want to enjoy fresh made beer and its original flavor, along with a traditional Argentina pizza or an international menu.
On 700 Triunvirato Street, in Quilmes, in the south of Buenos Aires City, the Park was inaugurated in 1922. It still keeps the spirit of those times when it worked as the meeting place of the brewery’semployees. In this building used to be organized great meals, parties and weekend picnics in the green areas surrounding the complex.
Nowadays, the place offers all the variety of national and imported beers that the brewery distributes, such as: the classic Quilmes Cristal, the Stout and Bock varieties, the premium line Patagonia, the Brazilian beer Brahma, the Belgian one Stella Artois, among others. The Park is open Sundays to Thursdays from 8AM till 12AM, Fridays from 8AM till 2AM and Saturdays from 8AM till 3AM.
The ticket costs 45 or 60 Argentine pesos (11 to 15 American dollars), including live music shows. A chance you shouldn’t miss if you want to taste the most traditional Argentine beer, more than 120 year old. Ask in our Hostel Colonial reception for references on how to get to the Brewery’s Park. Enjoy it and remember: drink in moderation.
