BUENOS AIRES FASHION WEEK (By Hostel Buenos Aires)
From February Tuesday 22nd to Friday 25th a new edition of Buenos Aires Fashion Week (BAFWEEK) will take place. It’s the most important Argentine fashion event of the year. Opening the Autumn/Winter 2011 season, clothing fans and those who like to stay up-to-date with new tendencies can visit the Yellow Pavilion of the exhibition center known as La Rural in Palermo.
As usual, design and new tendencies are the main stars of this gathering. In this new edition, the schedule will include two runways to show the most prestigious local brands and designers such as: Ay Not Dead, Cook, Como quieres que te quiera, Cora Groppo, Desiderata, Garza Lobos, Grupo 134, Hermanos Estebecorena, María Pryor, MVZ, Prüne, Puma, Rapsodia, Sarkany, Semillero-UBA, Tramando, Trosman, Uma, Varanasi, Vicki Otero and Wanama, among others.
Once again, the attendance will be able to catch up with new tendencies in the showrooms area, where more than 20 clothing, knitting, textiles, accessories and footwear brands will participate, and will offer options for both women and men. There will also be the WGSN Seminar introducing latest researches of the fashion labs in London, Sao Paulo, New York, Los Angeles, Paris, Milan, Tokyo and Sydney, among other capital which define tendencies.
This seventh edition of BAFWEEK will also support two Clothing Design students of the University of Buenos Aires, to help them exhibit their first collection in a professional way. Buenos Aires confirms its trajectory as the South American capital of fashion and invites everyone to enjoy the last tendencies of fashion world in our city.
