As every September 21st, our city is celebrating today the arrival of the spring to the south hemisphere. In this time, parks and squares of Buenos Aires (especially Bosques de Palermo) are full of students organizing picnic, singing and playing their favorites and enjoying the green areas. It’s a great day to organize outdoor activities if you are visiting Buenos Aires.
Spring is a perfect season to visit our city. The average temperatures are nice and -although it’s a bit cold by night- during the day is a wonderful time to take a walk round some of the traditional Porteño tours. In this day, you can join the classic celebrations in Palermo or you can spend the afternoon in one of the tables that many cafes place in the streets.
The places recommended for this station are the walks in green open air places. The Bosques de Palermo, the squares of Recoleta (as Plaza Francia and those at the sides of Del Libertador Avenue) and the Botanical Garden are great choices. You can also visit the Costanera (Riverside Road) and Puerto Madero in this sunny times. In Hostel Colonial we are waiting for you to enjoy this season in Buenos Aires.
