Buenos Aires is the city of tango. The many tourists are interested in learning the tango basic steps during their holidays now have a unique chance: to learn to dance tango in the house where Carlos Gardel was born. Yes, Gardel -the god of tango- lends his house museum in the Abasto neighborhood (735 Jean Jaures Street) for those eager to learn the moves of tango.

Until May 31st, every Wednesday and Friday at 6PM, you can attend the classes of Professor Luis Bocchia, teacher of the National Dance School María Ruanova and former partenaire of Madonna in the famous film Evita. The place is perfect, the house where Gardel lived with his mother in the end of the XIX Century. It’s a wonderful place where you can actually breathe the tango spirit.

In a few free classes you can learn the 8 basic steps to amaze everyone back home with you tango skills. The Carlos Gardel House and Museum is just 6 subway station far from our Hostel Colonial (in the B Line).
