TANGO CLASSES IN PALERMO

Palermo is one of the most traditional neighborhoods of our city. It’s famous because of its large gastronomic and cultural offer. The place consolidated as the design capital of Argentina and it’s a must for every person that visits Buenos Aires. Now, Palermo is also expanding its tango offer. It hosts the most famous tango dance house (La Viruta, on Armenia Street) and has different options to learn how to dance the River Plate rhythm.

Some of the most recommendable options are those of local clubs which offer beginners and intermediate courses. If you never danced tango, the places give you the choice to learn the first steps. If you have already danced, you can polish your style and experiment dancing with a local couple. The main clubs are: Club Uriarte (1289 Uriarte Street) and Club Villa Malcolm (5064 Córdoba Avenue).

Both clubs offer classes every Wednesday until the end of the year, by night, starting at 9PM. The offer is clear and simple: “to learn dancing and to have fun while you do it”. Previous experience is not required, only the will to learn. The cost per class is 20 Argentine pesos (5 American dollars), approximately. The ending time is 10.30PM. You can count on good restaurants nearby.

If you are visiting our city and you want to go back home with some learned tango steps to surprise your friends, Hostel Colonial gives you these two wonderful options.
