CONTEMPORARY MUSIC FESTIVAL

This is the last week of the Buenos Aires Contemporary Music Festival. The XV Edition of this event will close on November the 30th. The cycle of concerts was designed and coordinated by Martín Bauer and it’s taking place in many of the main coliseums of our city such as: The Colón Theater, San Martín Theater, PROA Foundation, the National Center for Music and Dance and the UNTREF Auditory.

The event is known because of the high performance level of its presentation and the innovation it brings to every concert. In the last 15 years, the Cycle has become the most important meeting for contemporary music lovers in Latin America. The shows include modern classic, world premieres and local productions. The opening events were dedicated to the work of Edgard Varèse.

Among others, you can enjoy the contemporary opera “Mia traditrice” by Salvatore Sciarrino, with the participation of renowned international singers. Or you can choose the show of the experimental music composer Christian Wolf. The main concert will be on November the 27th in the San Martín Theater Central Hall (tickets are free).
