CHRISTMAS IN THE MUSEUM

Buenos Aires museum join the celebration for this Christmas and New Year. Until January the 8th 2012 you will find allegoric exhibitions in the main art spaces of our city: religious iconography, cribs and a theater play based on the history of Santa Claus. Hostel Colonial brings you the full schedule:

XV Contest of Crib Sculpture: it will take place in the Sculpture Museum Luis Perlotti (644 Pujol Street). The objective is to keep the crib tradition alive while innovating on its forms and materials.

XI Encounter of Argentine Iconography: organized by San Pablo Editorial, it will be set in the Popular Art Museum José Hernández (2373 Del Libertador Avenue). The exhibition conceives the icon as a way to make present the person it represents.

María Isabel Fotheringham’s Crib: it’s set on the Latin American Art Museum Isaac Fernández Blanco (1422 Suipacha Street). This work combines the modern techniques and aesthetic resolution with the historic tradition of Catholicism.
