ARGENTINA’S SCHEDULES

If you are visiting Buenos Aires, Hostel Colonial gives some tips on Argentina’s schedules for stores, Banks, foods and other relevant places or events. The Argentine time zone is GMT-3 and it doesn’t contemplate a change in summer time. Due to the length of our territory, there exists a winter time in some regions close to the Andes Mountains. As every metropolis, Buenos Aires is defined by its non-stop activity.

The time for food

A reference you need to find in bars and restaurants the right meal at the right time. There are four classic meals. Breakfast usually takes place between 7AM and 10AM. Lunch: between 12PM and 3PM. Afternoon snack: between 5PM and 7PM. Dinner: between 8PM and 12AM.

Stores

These are open Mondays to Fridays from 9AM to 8PM and Saturdays from 9AM to 1PM. There are exceptions in neighborhoods far from Downtown, where some stores close from 1PM to 5PM. In shopping malls, stores are open until 10PM (even on weekends and holidays).

Banks

They open at 10AM and close at 3PM (a few banks extend their schedule until 4PM). The ATM network works 24/7.
