arteBA 2012, CONTEMPORARY ART EXHIBITION

This Friday May 18 starts the 21 Edition of arteBA, one of the most important contemporary art exhibitions in Latin America. In the Blue and Green Pavilions of La Rural (2704 Sarmiento Avenue, Palermo), you’ll find the best place to meet the latest and greatest Argentine and Latin American art. Hostel Colonial tells you what you can find in a place where aesthetics and imagination merge into new artistic proposals.

The exhibition lasts 5 days until Tuesday May 22 from 1PM to 9PM. The goal of arteBA is to promote regional art by positioning it in the world art market. So, you get the chance to see first what will be fashionable in art world. With over 120 thousand visitors each year, arteBA has become an essential date on the cultural calendar. The fair has been singularly successful in both giving broader visibility to well-established artists and serving as a launching point to legitimize emerging artists.

Although arteBA was conceived as a fair for art galleries, it’s not a static product. Every year, the fair adds new projects that boost the creative energy of the participating galleries. The auditorium program, the prizes, the area for emerging spaces, and the various activities of the corporate sponsors that have joined us, seek to break up the strict grid of the stands, turning the fair into something more festive.
